Color combinations
There are 4 colored squares (green, red, yellow and blue) that can be fit inside the grey tray.Well, easy questions: how many different combinations can be got?
Since the tray has not any sign of recognition, we need to exclude all the combinations that can be got by a simple rotation of the 4 squares. Therefore, once you place the first square, there are 3 different locations left for the second square. For each position of the second square, 2 positions are left for the third square. The forth square can be placed only on the remaining free slot. Therefore, total combinations are simply 3x2=6.Instead, if they tray had a recognition point, the combination would have been 4x3x2=24.Bye bye world!
